Synopsis:

In 2015, civil unrest breaks out in the (fictional) Republic of Numia. Chinese embassy official Cheng Lang (Karry Wang) and Zong Dawei (Zhang Yi), the former diplomat in residence, are tasked to assist in the evacuation of their compatriots. It seems the mission has been completed, but they learn that there is still a group of Chinese nationals trapped in rebel-controlled territory. In this critical situation, Zong Dawei and Cheng Lang choose to stay behind and set off into dangerous terrain across deserts and war zones in order to bring their compatriots home.
