Synopsis:

The time is 1939. War is raging in Europe. The key to its outcome lies in the secret formula to the atomic bomb held by a Jewish Scientist. Private Eye Yoyo (George Lam) has been entrusted to assist the scientist in passing the secret to the Americans. The place of exchange: Hong Kong. The secret formula falls into the hands of the Head of the Hong Kong Police (Paul Chun) who intends to sell it to the Japanese. Yoyo enlists the help of his pal Inspector Robin (Teddy Robin). Amidst clumsy Gestapo's, the treacherous Head of the Hong Kong Police and Japanese spies, a mysterious lady in black gets away with the formula. Yoyo and Robin finally compete their mission and reverse the fate of the world.

一九三九年，香港夜來香私家偵探社的阿喲（林子祥　 飾），接受天字第一號（林青霞　飾）秘密委任，將由德國 偷運出來的一份重要武器藍圖交給美國。幾經波折，藍圖竟 被漢奸警察局長（秦沛　飾）奪得，日本天皇的御用特務廣 島太郎（徐克　飾）於是奉命來港接收藍圖，阿喲得其莫逆 之交羅賓探長（泰迪羅賓　飾）幫助，偷入局長家搜尋藍圖 所在，最高間諜天字第一號亦同時行動，而幪面飛賊竟突然 出現……
