Synopsis:
After the death of the Foshan Great Wing Chun kungfu master Chan Wah Shun, little Ip Man continued learning Wing Chun under his senior fellow apprentice, Ng Chun Sui. When Ip Man grew up, he left his adopted brother Ip Tin Chi to study in HK alone. Foreigners took this chance to insult and discriminate him. At that time, he met his 3rd Wing Chun master Leung Bik. 童年時葉問(杜宇航 飾)和義兄葉天賜(樊少皇 飾)跟隨詠春宗師陳華順(洪金寶 飾)門下學習詠春拳。陳華順去世後，葉問跟隨掌門師兄吳仲素(元彪 飾)繼續學習。其後葉問獨自到香港求學，其間被外籍人士侮辱、歧視…並遇上梁璧(葉準 飾)傳授各種詠春招式。當葉問返回佛山，與永成(黃奕 飾)相戀卻遇到重重障礙。此時，掌門師兄吳仲素發現了葉問所習梁璧的詠春拳而偏離陳華順所強調之正宗詠春。二人就對是否堅守「正宗」一理念有著重大分歧，葉問在兩難局面之下如何解決? 與此同時葉問赫然發現天賜背後竟隱藏著一個驚人的秘密…
